  • Festival Information
    • Held in the Gaslamp the San Diego Film Festival (SDFF) is a competitive four-day fest that offers attendees a 360º festival experience. The Festival features more than 100 American and international feature, documentary, short films and music videos, hosts intimate filmmaker and celebrity gatherings, holds panels and the American Screenwriters Association's annual conference, and throws four nights of San Diego's most glamorous parties.

  • The Winning Director
    • Jeff Glickman was awarded the Heineken Red Star Award at the San Diego Film Festival.

      Montreal, Quebec-native Jeff Glickman earned his degree in film theory & criticism from University of Western Ontario. Glickman directed numerous productions. His productions have earned several awards, including his production of "Barstool Words," which won the "Best of the Fest" award at New York's Midtown International Theatre Festival.

      In 2002, Glickman directed his first film, an adaptation of the one-act play The Store. The film was an Official Selection of the Vancouver International Film Festival and aired on CBC.

    • "Killing Zelda Sparks"

      Killing Zelda Sparks tells the tale of Craig and Terry - former best friends - who reunite against their old enemy, Zelda, and plot revenge to eliminate her once and for all.

      Working their way through a web of deceit and desire, Craig and Terry must determine who is lying and who is telling the truth, and wonder whose face will appear the next morning in the local newspaper.

      In one night, Craig and Terry will have to face their demons and realize exactly what has changed, and what they haven't left behind.

 

One outstanding film from each of the following festivals takes home the Heineken Red Star Award.
